Spinning Reels
Re: Spinning Reels
2500's seem to balance better with most bass tackle.

2500
Re: Spinning Reels
2500 is best choise . You can still downsize(line size) or increase to a degree, withouit sacrificing performance, or having to use a heavier reel.

Re: Spinning Reels
Thanks guys, I was thinking ya might get better distance throwing a light jerkbait with a 3000.

Re: Spinning Reels
I want distance and go with the Stradic 4000 for the bigger spool.
Re: Spinning Reels
Depends on the make of the reel. A Daiwa 2500 is nearly the same as the Shimano 3000.Wally wrote:What is your preferance for spinning reels, 3000 0r 2500 ?
Personally, I prefer the bigger reels because of the larger spool diameter and thus lower line twist (less turns per length).
