WCB at Shasta who's going?

Post by bryanmc »

I'm trying to figure out if the WCB pro-am at Shasta is going to happen or if it will be canceled like the others. Reason being, I can fish the WON TOC on that weekend or the WCB pro-am (great they ended up on the same weekend huh?) but obviously not both. I don't want to get caught not getting ready for clear Lake only to find out at the last minute WCB isn't happening.

I personally hope Larry has a grest turnout, he does put on a great show. This one and the last one on the Delta could be good.

Good luck my friend Larry

I have talked with Larry at great lengths about the participation with westcoastbass this year. Yes he had to cancel one due to poor participation but if you look at his set up from here on out it looks extremely appealing. This Shasta tournament is crucial for him to keep it going. I have been burning up the phones looking for more anglers. He has a permit pulled for Nov. 15 & 16 also which could be a fantastic bite. He is thinking of a Super Team event for that date but it all depends on the participation. The economy has been tough on all of us, but for someone trying to run a circuit with minimal sponsors, participation could change that. Larry appreciates and welcomes any input us anglers have to make this circuit work. The only other BIG tournament going at that time, wonbass aside, is FLW which most of us at this time can't afford to fish anyway. This tournament is reasonable. Also, Larry stated he really has zero entry's from locals which shocked me.

The shasta pro-am is shaping up the local entries are starting to come in. The free BBQ ckeck-in will be at Phils props. Phil just ran out of the 100 flyers that we sent him just sent 100 more it should be a good turn out. The Shasta Pro-am is a definite go....depend on it. I would offer my first born if it does not go but she has 5 kids and you wouldnt want her! Love to have your support at the last two events this year Shasta September 19-20 and the Delta October 10-11.
