Delta And My boat

Post by acm95301 »

So, Friday I'm headed to the Delta, probably Ladd's for put in. I guess we will try a shot at stripper. I was reading the forums, and it was mentioned that the brackish water has some issues with boats.

Can you guys elaborate....I'm assuming is salt issues...whats the best way to clean this up?

Also in other posts it was recomended to some emergency numbers saved in the cell phone.

Anybody know the numbers?

With the brackish water, just hose it down and flush out your motor once you get back to the house. I fish it all the time and have never personally had any issues, but I believe someone posted recently that they got a mark/stain on their hull which could not be removed after letting the boat sit for 24hrs.+

You may want to store the number of Vessel Assist in case of a breakdown and nobody around to help you in: (925) 382-4422

Additionally, store the number for Russo's Marina just in case you lose the # for or cant get through to the first: 925-684-2024

Hope this helps and good luck!!

925 is good. Vessel assist launches from Bethel Island.

Looked up your boat and you probably won't want to get out to the brackish water anyways because it can get very rough on the Sac River/big water. Plus the sripers have moved in far enough that you don't need to go past Big Break. Lots of guys were fishing stripers on the San Joaquin between Fisherman's Cut and Frank's Tract last week
