You have to know the secret Triton handshake. It's a fist bump followed by a side to side motion with a flat palm......... Kind of like a chine walk.

Your right, you have to be in the know how. If you don't know how to drive a boat thats cool. In fact, I don't even know what walking feels like anymore. Once you learn how to balance a performance boat you never struggle again.

I wouldn't have it anyother way....

P.S I dont wave when I go by..lol

Unfortunately I have rode with a few (pretty much all) who can't stop that walk. I do have to say I was happy I was in Justin Kerr's Triton when we hit the dragon at Columbia. My Ranger would have been waist deep. Fast yes, Sits on top of the slop yes, but I am sure your boat walks with the best of them. You are just used to it. You make think you are not waving but I see your hands dug in to that steering wheel waving side to side.

I have a 99 TR-21 and it has never chine walked on me, it has a 225 Yamaha and a 10" jack plate and will do about 65. I had heard Triton's could chine walk easily and was on guard for it but it has not happened.

Most performance vehicles require a qualifed driver. Not everyone can handle a Formula One car or a Triton Bass Boat. JMOA

I was told Joe Pool won the tournament not sure who his partner was. Congratulations Joe from your Oregon buddies.

Joe's partner was Mike Rostein from Lakeport. Mike is a great stick but doesn't do many tournaments. I might add that he caught most of the fish and has been on them for a month. The bad news is he is going to retire so the CL fish will really take a beating.

Yes congrats to Joe and John. We will have the full results up at www.tritonboats.com in the next few days. What a great weekend and thank you to everyone who made it awesome. All of us had a really busy weekend making everything go good and many of the staff will be on the road or in the air all day tomorrow monday.

Thanks to Earl Bentz for taking the time to come out to the event this year. He was very impressed with Clear Lake and the fish it kicked out.

This was a fantastic tournament!!! The Triton Owner's Tournament is more than a tournament, it's an event!!!

Even though my partner and I finished somewhere in the middle of the pack we both had a great time. The entry fee was a mere $200 and for that you got a great tackle pack which included four pairs of fishing glasses from Strike King, two Triton hats plus an assortment of tackle. Also included in the entry fee was a fantastic BBQ tri tip dinner on Saturday. As a bonus the Konocti Vista Casino and Resort provided a free breakfast buffet each morning to the tournament participants who were staying in their motel. What a great way to start each day!!! Imagine getting up right at the tournament site, eating a hot breakfast and then taking a short walk to the dock to hop in your boat and idle out to begin fishing.

After the presentation of the awards there was a free raffle which included fishing rods, trolling motors, electronics, oil and many other items.

Also each boat owner were placed in a raffle for a brand new Triton Boat. Imagine a 1 in 94 chance for a fully loaded 20" Triton!!!

But, the best part was that it was a fun weekend. I met lots of real nice people and had two great days of fishing.

The Triton Boat Company, Delta Marine Sales, Nixon's Marine and Gone Fishing Marine, Kent Brown and everyone involved are to be commended for putting on a top notch event.

Earl Bentz announced at the banquet that the Triton Owner's Tournament for 2010 would again be held at Konocti Vista Casino and Resort.

If you own a Triton or have a friend that has one make plans to attend!!!

This was my first Triton owners tournament and I have to say I had a blast, I finished just one out of the money and those of you that know me will be laughin out load at that.
but I will be going back next year!!!!! this tournament was a lot of fun, and the fishing was pretty good too.

all the dealers did a fantastic job and a special thanks gos to Jeff for his help carting fish up to the scales with me (fished solo) the raffile at the awards ceramony was kool they even gave away 3 checks, totaling 125 dollars to wives and girlfiends who came up, I thought that was a pretty classy move, often the wives who stay at the docks get left out.

Kudos to Earl Bentz for traveling all day friday to make the tournament and than traveling again early sunday morining he greated everyone as they came to weigh in and had photos taken with everyone.

Folks Triton did a class A number one Job with this tournament.

next OCT 9 and 10 2010 it's on again make plans now its worth the trip

I was there when Walt had a 7 - 8lb topwater fish come unbuttoned 10 ft from the boat wit 15 minutes to go on the last day. Would have made all the difference in the world.

We'll see you next year Walt...
