POWELL ROD QUESTION

just started using powell rods , I'm looking for a light line dropshot
rod (6# line) any suggestions ?

first off powell is a great choice for a fishing rod! secondly i have the 701 and 702 rods. personally i like the 702 better because sometimes i texas rig my d-shot near trees and the little more backbone is better for hook sets. also its more darterhead/ split shot freindly. but if you truely are going for just a dropshot rod, go for the 701.

The 701, period! Awesome, awesome, awesome rod for dropshotting. I love it w/ a Sahara 2500 and 6-8lb Sufix. Soft tip with a super fast action and a ton of backbone. Also makes an awesome flats rod for Snook, Reds, and baby Tarpon here in FL!
