If you ever think you have a really good business idea for something fishing related, call Tom Leogrande and see if he's either tried it or is doing it... you'd be amazed

Sounds like somebody just got done watching the Highlander on HBO. :) Sounds like a good idea, however isn't that how the guy in Texas was able to get away with cheating for so long? Fishing events by himself.

I'm all for it especially the lower entry fee. Just enough to be competitive and take it serious, but not enough to break the bank.

For that circuit I would love it may even and come out of retirement. Just for the fun of it. (no night events, night blind here).
$ 100.00
5 different lakes
1 day
fish alone
valet launching and parking
awards raffle

or ? How about a seniors tournament for us aged (seasoned) fishermen ?
Gonna get some &%$* about this one I bet ?

something like the Ultimate Match Fishing done out West. Have two hotshot anglers go head to head on a lake. Get the cameras out and the smack talk begin.

You can probably get by with a text message or email the night before. Can you imagine 100 boats and trucks parked somewhere along I-5?

Maybe It seems silly but here is an idea for a tournament series that might be fun.

$200 Team Entry and Options

New Lake Montly to be announced the Monday prior to the tournament.

7 Fish Limit

Here is the best part.
Teams are randomly selected from all signed up Anglers one month prior to the first tournament.
There is NO boater/non-boater breakdown this would be a straight team event. You get who you get as far as partners are concerned. And teams cannot be changed or broken up during the series. If one or the other decides to not fish, the other fishes alone for a 5 fish limit. once the teams are drawn they are a team for the entire series.
It could be done two ways.
One would be that simular to a pro/am tournament were boaters and non-boaters are teamed together (for all tournaments). The second would be a pro team series. Either way it would be an interesting dynamic to see people teamed up who might not even know each other.

Just an idea.

At the Bass Jam I heard a whisper of a new tournament concept. When Tom has worked out all of the details I think everyone will be very happy with it.
