Guys,

Just a friendly reminder that the FLW Series 2010 registration is open to all Ranger Boat owners today. You can register online or by calling FLW Outdoors directly.

Quick poll... How many of you are planning on fishing the FLW Series Shasta event?

Wow... these numbers are surprisingly low.

Why so. I would venture to say that the numbers of people that are on this board that actually fish at that level is far smaller than you think.

Additionally, the anglers that do fish at that level and visit the board tend to not post.

I'll be fishing and if I draw you at Shasta like I did at Oroville, Vince, there will be no precious large mouths to catch off the back of my boat :D There could be some magnum spots though!

I think Ricky is spot on here, and the number of people saying No are probably guys who do not even fish tournaments period.

I signed up already! Has it started snowing yet?

I guess I better start saving up my "gas money" because I will be there. I wish they gave out frequent drivers miles because I will be racking them up if I fish all 4. :?

I think you will see 100-120 boats, the economy is still down and I do not see the lower entry really helping as much as some think. I do hope however people show, It would be nice to see participation pick up.

Good luck..

I agree with Ricky, the anglers that post and can respond to polls is likely much smaller then the anglers that lurk and can't respond to the forum poll. I'm pretty sure you can only respond to polls if you've actually signed on and logged on.

So the responses that are not going to be fishing any flw events is misleading.

Either way I'm going to be chucking the swimbait just in case. :) This time I'm also bringing my flick shake for those suspended spots you catching when you were spanking me on Oroville.

Not really misleading just gives you an idea of the demographics online. When I fished club events it took a while before I had the confidence and experience to fish the big money events even from the back of the boat.

Since FLW pulled the plug on the Stren Western division, I am not that enthused about fishing FLW...if I fish, it will only be the Delta event as a back-seater...

Its been a while, but four tournaments

Four top 50s $20,000

minus

entries $8000

fuel $3000 boat and truck

hotel $1040 split

licenses $200

tackle food and all that other stuff, you were going to get anyways,

leaves over $12,000...

then there is the tax write off for everything you spend and expense/mileage for every day you fish... tournament or not.

All of you should sit down and fiqure out how much you spend and how much extra it is worth. It adds to the payout!
