Hello all,
In an effort to better monitor the anadromous striped bass population, we have developed an on-line form you can use to tell us about your striped bass catch. If you are at all interested in helping out, please try it out and leave us feedback.

Re: Cooperative Striped Bass Online Submission Form
Marty, this is a cool site. I like the idea of getting involved directly with the angling community to increase our knowledge base of the fishery.
How about starting up a tag-return hotline (and website) that can be combined with a widespread tagging effort. You could use a few hundred or thousand floy tags and the automated tag reporting hotline to monitor striped bass exploitation rates and migration patterns from the Bay, Ocean and Delta.
With a few reward tags to establish your non-reporting bias, you could be in the game in no time. This sort of data would be a great addition to our knowledge of the striped bass population, and would be a huge PR victory for the Department to begin informing anglers about the tagged fish they catch.
