100% Trilene for sure! I throw 15lb in clear water and 17lb in ditry water and you can jack em on both. I have been sponsored by Trilene for 4 years now and I have been so incredibly happy with this line for all sorts of techniques. To be honest the only time I even use mono or copolymer line anymore if for topwater lures. Good luck!

100% Fluoro sinks and CXX floats (Copolomar) ... that's one difference. I am certain that the CXX is going to be more abrasion resistant as well.

Check line diameter, not rated tonage ... that'll tell you more about the strength of the line. CXX is UNDERRATED. 15#'s is like 17 or 20#'s from other manufacturers.

BTW, I'm sponsored by my own retirement fund (or the lack there of) ! HAR!! :D

Agreed with 201,
CXX overtests by a whole bunch, (personally I've done my own pull tests on 30 CXX, it broke at 42 lbs!) But really it comes down to what characteristics you want in your line. Sinking fluoro is nice for paddle tails, you can get a little more depth if you need it, plus the decreased visibility factor is nice when you got clear water.

I steadily gaining favor in P-Line Halo, yeah it's $$, but it is a very abrasion resistant fluoro so I'm confident with 15 lb in most situations. Haven't done any pull tests on the Halo, but it hasn't let me down yet, so I'll chalk it up as a win so far.

Just my 2 cents,

I have used Trilene for 15 years and never had a problem with it UNTIL about a year ago I bought some 12# Trilene Sensation.
I broke off 4 fish on hook sets in 1 afternoon. These were smallish Spotted Bass too. I sent an email to Trilene just to see if the Sensation had some problems and NEVER got a reply back.
That being said I haven't spooled up with Trilene since and don't plan to.

I use either braid or Flurocarbon when throwing my big hammers or swimbaits...if I am primarily on a rock, outside grass, outside ledge deal then flurocarbon. Up in the tulles and asking for trouble braid, but to answer your question the Trilene 100% would be my choice, and is
