Shimano reels

I need you to settle a disagreement. Does Shimano put line on any casting reels prior to shipping to dealers?

A local store has had a couple Shimano reels (one Curado and one Corvalis) on their shelves that had braided line on them. I asked if the reels were used and the store clerk said they came from the factory that way.

Is there any way I could get a response that indicates it came from Shimano Customer Service?

No we do not put any line on new reels prior to shipping them. We used to offer some spinning combos back in the day that came with some blue mono. This was years ago and only on the combo FX reels.
