FPT today

Post by biteme »

Congrats to Vince and crew for a well run tournament. He was on top of things today! I was the one to start the post last year about how bad things were. Well looks like he stepped up today and put the smack down. Great job man!

Yes it was run better than last year. I would have liked to seen a release boat used. There was still a lot of poor fish handling after the scales, many boats never put water back in the bags to transport them back to the lake.

How do you figure? It was a drive by way in...after the fished were weighed they went back into the livewell and released at the ramps. The only time they didn't have water was after they were weighed and walked 10ft back to the livewell.

FishinFool are you Serious? I guess your name explains it all! Every fish was put right back in the live wells and driving to the lake then bagged again and put in the lake.

Vince even had a guy at the water to make sure the fish swam off and if they needed to be popped then that was done. Any dead fish was put in a ice chest. ALSO belly boat guys fish were put in the next boats live well to be brought down to the water.

It was not the fastest weigh in but every fish was cared for and this was a very well ran weigh in. There was never 50 boats in line to weigh in. The boats were left in the water until they told you to get in line.

Vince and his Crew did a great job today! But someone always has to BITCH he listens to the complaints and tries to resolve them but then again you can never make everyone happy!

The staff did a great job, it's a big task to handle that many boats. Everything went smoothly, looking forward to Shasta!

Vince told me that the release boats that are around are no longer being transported around to the different lakes and the ones at Oroville, Shasta, Delta and Clear Lake stay on those lakes.

FPT's crew did a much better job with the weigh in and the anglers seemed to follow the directions well.

Good Job guys!

Justin I am not trying to bitch just saying there still was some poor handleing by some. Many just dropped the whole bag in the livewell without adding water to the bag. Overall it was much better than last year.

No my daughter was getting fussy so it was time to go. I watched about half.
I think the staff did all they could this time, besides getting a release boat. But all and all I was the guys yelling orders. If something was done wrong it was by the anglers. I also saw a DFG guy walking around.

They keep a release boat at Shasta? If so, why wasn't it used at AC this weekend?
