Arizona fishing license

Post by hippie »

Anyone know what the super conservation class L license is? Its cheaper than the regular non resident license. Are you able to purchase the nevada-arizona rivers stamp with it?

Not sure about the Super Conservation class L license, but if you're just fishing the Colorado River Lakes, you can buy the Colorado River License and put the appropriate Stamps on it. It's $48.75, compared to $70.25 for the Non-Res License.

I also purchased the non-res Colo Riv annual for $48.75. It is supposed to be good for everything on the Colo Riv chain for AZ & NV(Mead, Mojave, etc).

Class L Non-Residence is for the whole state including trout stamp. I just went through this last week when I went to purchase a trout stamp for my non-resident Colorado River license. They want $57.00 for non-resident trout stamp only. I was advised next time to purchase the Type L if I want the trout stamp. This is what I was told by AFG.

Greg, I know that they will put a Nevada Stamp on the C. River license and I'm sure it reciprocates if you have the Nevada License. Can't say for sure though, as I always try to get by without buying the Nevada License, even though I'm a resident.

Maybe you can call John and have him send you one. I don't believe you can obtain a NV stamp in NV. The first time I ever purchased a AZ Colo River stamp I got the CA stamp only. Tried to get one here and the pointed east.

I don't know who you spoke with at AZGFD, but you need the Arizona-Colorado River Special Use Permit.

"This permit must be pasted on back of any valid STATE OF ARIZONA fishing license being used to fish from the Nevada shore or any floating device on waters of Lake Mead, Lake Mohave or on the Colorado River where it forms the boundary between Arizona and Nevada."

If you go to Nevada and try to buy just a stamp, you will need to buy a Nevada Non-resident license to put the stamp on.
