Bass clubs in san jose/santa clara

Post by nelsonlui »

Anyone know any bass clubs to join in the san jose, santa clara area? I saw a three under the bass clubs link, but only one linked worked... santa clara bass club. I am new to san jose, and wanted to look into a club to meet people with similar interests.

I help start the Santa Clara Bass Busters in the late sixties. The club has turned out many great anglers. You shouldn't have any trouble meeting good people there.

You can also check out the Gilroy Bassmasters. We are a club just south of San Jose and place a big emphasis on teaching. We meet the fist thursday of every month and hold one tournament a month anywhere from the Delta to Clear Lake to local lakes. The dues are cheap so your not going to make a lot of money but you will learn a thing or two. Check out our website http://home.comcast.net/~scy33613/gbm.html

You'll find several great clubs through the links section but I fish with the Gilroy Bassmasters. Most of the guys are from San Jose but some of the guys come from Fremont and all the way down to Hollister. Gilroy Bassmasters is a great learning club with A LOT of GREAT sticks! We all help each other with winning techniques and helpful hints.

Check out the website at GilroyBassmasters.com

We meet the first thursday of every month in Gilroy. You can always come to a meeting to check it out and get five free raffle tickets for our tackle raffle held at every meeting.

There are many great clubs and we all have the same passion, so, good luck!

You are welcome...I reflected back on the old days as I was writing a response.
I hope you will consider sharing The Toys for Troops Kids team bass tournament on November 6th at Russo's with all the members. This is a big toy drive for the kids who's parents are over seas fighting. Last year a few clubs combined their monthly tournament with this event. We do all the work and you guys come out fish, eat, and support a great charity.

I would really like to see you all there representing your clubs supporting our troops. To learn more check out the sticky on the this page.

Thank you,

Jerry
