back to the keeping in contact with the boat while landing the fish question I asked a few weeks back...
k so if an FLW guy were to fall out of the boat like KB did while landing the fish would they have to throw the fish back?
because they lost contact with boat?

If they keep a hand on the boat they are ok. If not......There is a video of Mike Ike and he breaks a fish off at the boat, jumps in, grabs the line and keeps a hand on the boat and lands the fish!!! Very Impressive!!

I know rules are rules, but it would take a real D-Bag to DQ a fish if a guy unintentionally fell out of the boat during the fight... just my opinion.

The responsibility of the TD is to ensure a level playing field. Rules are designed to provide that. I would question the non-boater and if he said it was unintentional, no harm-no foul.

hmmm...
jumping in eazier to keep hand on ...
falling in, well, if you were graceful enough to fall in anyway you may not be coordinated enough to keep your hand on as you go over...plus Im sure youre tryin to hold on to the rod/reel and fish on the line....does it half to be a hand? or will any contact work...like your foot?

What if the hand that they keep on the boat after they fall/jump in is a prosthetic arm? Will that be an exception or straight up DQ?
