FLW Series at Roosevelt Lake

The Town just finished their website and I didn’t want to wait until the next update to get this information to you. For those of you that missed the weigh-in of the Stren event last year, click on the box at the bottom to watch Roy Hawk’s dramatic win. As most of you know, Vu Au was the champion amoung the Co-Anglers. The FLW Day in Payson on Sept.18th is the kickoff to everything we’re doing for the tournament. The first pre-fish day leading up to the tournament is the following day. This event is going to be spectacular and a lot of fun at the same time. We hope to see you all here in cool Rim Country. We have also received some questions asking if the Gila County Sheriff’s boat safety inspections that were done last year during the Stren event will be performed for the Series Tournament. As most of you know, the FLW performs a boat safety inspection at each of their events and to the best of our knowledge, no additional boat safety inspections will be required this year by Gila County Sheriff's Office or the AZGFD.

We also received confirmation from the FLW that Cody Myer, a top 10 angler in the FLW Forrest Wood Cup will attend the FLW Day in Payson.

Most of our volunteer committee members are local business owners or Town representatives from Payson and Tonto Basin. We are working hard to ensure Payson is the best host Town and Roosevelt Lake is the best FLW Series tournament experience for you and your family.
