Another battery thread

I just bought a OPTIMA D34M Blue Top Battery from Costco. Great price, but when I got it home I noticed the amp hours are only half of the POS Everstart i bought from Walmart last year.

The Everstart claims 115 AH and the Optima is 55. What gives? Will the Optima just give inadequate performance for a greater number of years?

A group 34 battery is way to small for just about any Marine use. AGM batteries are a lower reserve minute battery than the same size of lead acid battery when they are new, as they age however the lead acid batteries fall off very fast, the AGM's do not. After twice the life of a lead acid battery the AGM will still be near its rated capacity.
