The Toys for the Troops Kids team bass tournament and Toy drive is coming to Lake Shasta Saturday Oct. 2nd and at the Delta on November 6th. CBAF and the Toys for the Troops kids Charity is working hard to generate toys for the children of the men and women of our armed forces. These kids parents are away from home fighting a war, and we want to help. Please come out bring a unwrapped toy for boys or girls ages 1 thru 18. Come out and fish a very well run team tournament.

We will try and support this great cause with Ultimate Bass University and beginning on the September 21 and again on our October 19th class we will be collecting toys. Last year we filled a Bass Tracker with toys and donations and this year we are looking to fill a bigger boat...

As Always Thank you for all your support. As I have shared with many of you over the last four years, I do not know anyone fighting over seas. What I do know is I am a Father of four kids and I couldn't stand the thought of being away from my family at Christmas; let alone the idea of not having any presents under the tree for my kids while I was away.

Your gift (toy) is a big deal to our military families. If you were not at last years event you missed tournament director Brett Smith the quest speaker; he shared with all of us what it is like being in the military as a young parent.

Brett retired last year with twenty years of service. He shared with all of us how grateful he was, as a dad in the military, for these gifts. The men and women of our armed forces need our help.

Please come out and join us in these two events and please bring a toy.

I just wanted to say thank you to Gone Fishing Marine and Kent Brown for sharing The Toys for the Troops Kids event with everyone last night at the Ultimate Bass University class.

Man that was a large group that showed up last night. Kent your Ultimate Bass University classes are great.

Ken Sauret did a fantastic job sharing his knowledge on all the new Lowrance products and how to work them. Great Job! Ken I learned alot thank you for driving so far to share this information with all of us.

I can't wait to get to Shasta and fish the CBAF tournament! I have a bag full of toys and a few (too many) rods ready to go... This is such a fun tournament that I hope we see everyone out there. Don't forget to bring a toy (or two).

I was at the Western Rookie League sign ups at Hook Line and Sinker yesterday in the Toys for the Troops Kids booth. Randy thanks for having me.

We now have drop off boxes at the Hook Line and Sinker and at Russo's Marina.

I hope you will come out Nov. 6th at Russo's fish the tournament and bring some toys.
