Need help with Berryessa

Post by L Dub »

Hi Guys,

I'm planning an over-night trip to Berryessa next weekend with some buddies and I hoping someone could help me out a little.

Which would be better to site to stay at for shore fishing? Chaparral (Putah Creek) or Lupine Shores (Steele Park)? The guys I'm going with don't get out very often and I'd like to do my best to put them on some fish.

Any input would be appreciated!

Tight Lines,

LL

Anyone know what the water level is at Berryessa? Looking at google maps seems like the water is down about 5-10ft but if anyone could confirm that would be great.

thanks

I was just there - and the lake is about 40 feet down. Most bass are off-shore - very few "on the bank." If you are fishing from shore, try to find the steepest banks you can. Putah Creek area is a good bet.
