Just talked to a friend of mine that's over there. He said it's really tough. 1 fish in 2 days of pre-fishing.

Supposed to be a pretty good storm move through tonight and into tomorrow. Could turn everything upside down.

Very surprised to hear that the bite is Slow. When I was there for the Stren, it was almost every cast. Lots of fish.

They got 4 inches of rain there last night so that should make things interesting

Plus there was a mudslide on 188 sometime this mornig so hopefully everyone made it to the lake OK before it closed the road

Four inches of rain at Roosevelt over night. The main road from Payson to the lake is closed until noon today because of a mudslide. Haven't heard, but I doubt the 7:00 blastoff went off as scheduled.

They had a mud slide on 188 as well about 6:15 this morning. One car was caught in it a women who is ok. Not sure about her car and not sure if she was involved in the tournament. Its closed between Tonto Basin/Punkin Center and the ramp. They hope to have one lane open by 2:30 today but the next storm is supposed to be here at anytime.

Looks Like roosevelt is not showing it's true colors so far. That place can be so awesome to fish. #'S as well as big fish.

Well, I am off the lake and boy ...I think Moses asked for another ark or something...it POURED. Its summer and 95-100 every day in practice and it rains?? Whats up with that!?

The fishing was tough and unfortunately I blanked...with my pro having only 1 fish. The water temp is very high 79-81 depending on where you are.

Lots of people caught fish, but not very many big ones and few limits for the number of anglers. Tomorrow is another day....

I talked to Chris Ricci today after the weighin.
Said they had really bad weather all day.

Chris had one of his best days fishing.
After losing 4 fish, he is still right up there in 6th place.
Just a little over 1 pound off the lead.

Chris, Good Luck and Tight Lines.
I can not tell you what baits he was using, But they sure catch fish.

I know just can`t say.
