Meeting forum people in real life.

Post by Greg_Cornish »

Man I met another one today and shook his hand. I still have all the teeth I had before. Good to meet the Gambler.

Wow.

I never even realized Greg still had has teeth. I figured once you eclipsed a certain age (87+) they are completely worn down.

Damn you learn something every day.

Getting to meet fellow nutcases (forum users) is always a pleasant endeavor..The Western Rally was an excellent opportunity for meeting and conversing with new found friends and old ones too..So were the Winter Nutcase events and other such seasonal get togethers..Regretfully they seem to have gone by the wayside..Perhaps it is time to start them up again..

The Rally just seemed to kind of trend down, no matter what effort went into them. The last rally was about 20-25 of us, Mac included. I had a lot of fun. They don't have a rally in Texas anymore either and it all says something for sure. A lot of folks just can't afford this stuff right now Or are already stretched thin on fishing commitments that they can't due to conflict or calendar crush.

I look at it as 'the good old days'.

Good point Greg,

I really dont know most of the folks on here but I am closer to most of them than my own extended family. Seems like these folks can pick me up when I trip once in a while :)

All if it ever took in the past for folks to have a nutcase was for someone to step up and do it. Nutcases didn't get started by the guys running the website but by the users of the forum. Any time you guys want to plan a nutcase, the forum is here for you to do it.
