Beware duck season starts Saterday. Shoot time is 6:56am

Sherman lake
Franks Tract
Big Break
And all around they delta will be load with gun swinging fools. They cant stop you from fishing but be courtious and maybe they will in return.

Would not suggest running across Frank at Blast off. I would go around

What the HE!! kinda post is that? Not all hunters are gun swinging fools. Same as all bass fishermen are not the kind and courteous as we would like to believe, same as all wakeboarders are not all knucleheads.
We all as SPORTSMEN, if you agree with hunting or not, have to band together to protect what outdoor resources and privleges we have left. Duck hunters are as passionate about their sport as bass fishermen are about thiers. We all need to remember that when we fight PETA, CBD, etc.

I took the post as letting us know that duck season is open. I did NOT take it as a put down on hunters. I know that during the hunting season I stay clear of the blinds, but during the off-season I blast across Franks without worring getting too close to the blinds.

A couple of weeks ago during pre-fish for the WRL We heard some blasts and they sounded really close, we come around the corner and there is a blind setup with two guys doing pop up on the Honkers.

I agree give the guys with guns a wide berth, respect them and they will respect you.

Calling the hunters "gun swinging fools" is a bit much.

Two funny things to relate, I asked a buddy who didn't fish well with his really good partner what happened to them in the tourney. He stammered around a bit, went to say they had established this killer bite "Flipping duck blinds..."

"Today was opening day..."

"We figured that out..."

The other was a real early morning ride on Little Potato, I was hauling.

Thought, "I don't remember that clump of tules..."

As I whipped right by it wide open, with a few feet to spare I could see a vent rib pointing straight up in those tules.

It was a blind with hunters in it!

(No deaks though?)

DUH!

I guarantee Saturday morning 1/2 of the field will blow right through the middle of Franks and there will be a bunch of pissed off hunters and some boats might get sprayed (accidentally).....
