bio sonixs unit

Post by jrbasspro »

my bio sonixs unit took a dump a havasu, i cant turn the unit on unless its plugged into the wall, i have changed the battery, but it was a older battery, still no luck
my question is ----i went to the bio sonixs web site and they didnt have any products and after a minute internet explorer closed the page, does anyone know if they are still up and running or did the economy kill the business.

i want to try and get my unit fixed!

I am on my 2nd unit I believe it is the RF 300. When I bought my first one we were told that there would be free new sounds that would be available for download on on sd card. When I posted on their forum on their site they eventually got back to me saying that they were too busy trying to fill orders to fulfill their previous obligation for new free sounds. I was pretty frustrated at that and they lost my trust.

I have the older battery unit and mine also took a dump. They would sell me the new and improved version for a real good price, and it was, but I still could see spending the money on it when this worked just fine with a good battery. Anyway I installed a cigarette lighter plug in one of the front lockers and it works just fine that way.

Andy how does the current draw effect your battery? have you had issues with letting it run all day pluged in the way you do?

No. It works just fine. I don't have it on all day. I turn on the sounds when in the shallows fishing. Never had an issue with it....yet.

Thanks Andy
from personnel experiance you might want to use the unit in deep water as well, i found it works really well in 35 to 40 when the bite is tough, it gave me a check a couple of times
i would stop way out from a point and trolling motor in with the unit on, it seems to get the fish keyed up, like a school of bait moving into the point to feed.
