So Cal Question....????

Post by TEAMDEADMONEY »

Does anyone know of a company here in So Cal that paints names on the back of Large boats?
My inlaws have a 42 ft Luhrs and I want to pay to have the name "Kokomo" painted on the back for them for Christmas. They have called it Kokomo since they bought it so I thought it would be cool if the name was on the back like all of the other boats have.

Their boat is in its slip in Dana Point Harbor....

Any suggestions????

thanks

How about some good quality vinyl graphics ? Otherwise just look a good local sign painter.

Pete, Byron's right. All the sportboat guys use vinyl now too. If it gets nicked (a letter in the name) it's already on file and they make ya a new one and it's cheap to do. GO VINYL! Any sign shop in the Dana area will be able to do it for you.

I would check with Orange County Boat Repair in Stanton (714) 827-6247. Talk to Saul and he might hook you up. I know he has a guy that will come in and paint "CF" numbers on the hull. Saul and his father do exceptional work with paint and gel coat.

Hope this helps....

Vinyl is the way it is done now. That said, most do not change the name on a boat once christened. It is considered to be bad luck.

Mike Tomaselli @ Mikes Striping is the best in the business. 7148980100. Vinyl is like putting a bumber sitcker on a Bentley. 42 Luhrs deserves better. Rick G.
