Are they silicone or round rubber? A mixture of both may be?

Yes to your question we have them with all rubber and some with rubber and silicone. The Bobby D's also have rattles for those that want some noise!!
Thanks Mike

Bobby does indeed make some great baits. As Jeff mentions, ya really need ta try his Vibrating Jig, one of the best, if not the best out there. Don't believe me, just pick up this month's issue of BASS Times, and check out the article on page 10 Wirth wrote, with Elite Series Pro Clark Rheem and his experiences with Bobby's GRINDER!!!!!

Awesome! The Mike's Craw color looks beast. Is that color only available at Black Dog Baits?

For you guys that throw both the Waddas and Bobby D's, what are some of the differences (particularly the bulk of skirt & flair comparison) and how do you decide which one to throw?

Mike's craw is available at www.BlackDogbaits.com That color was named after it won us a couple of tournaments in 08' and was responsable for this day when I set the FLW Delta record with 36.3 pounds.....

These are incredible baits that have been kept on the Down Low by local pro's until now when elite series Pro's have been winning big money on them.

Bobby D's Baits are hand made with the highest quality component one at a time in the USA. Featuring a needle point sharp 5/0 Mustad heavy duty hook, virtually indestructible Powder Coated heads and Hand Tied Round Rubber/Silicone Skirts in proven fish catching colors. Jigs are available with our custom glass rattle system or without and a untrimmed weed guard that you trim to your desired length and thickness.

I have never fished a TNT bait but they are really close. I have been fishing Bobby D's for 18 years and over time feel that we have perfected the arkie jig with the hand tied skirts, rattle system, colors and paint I feel they are the best jig on the market and allot of big name pro's fish them but dont endorse them in public because of other companys they represent. Wadda's came out a fews ago and are about as close as you can get munus the rattle. Either way you cant go wrong..

Wadda's have a different hook angle than the Bobby'D. I feel that hook angle gives me better hook ups. They are both nice jigs though.

I don't see any of the new colors on the Hook Line & Sinker site. Do you have to call to order them?

I called the Hook and was asking about info on the Bobby D's and was told that the originals use Gamakatsu hooks. The newer colors have Mustad. Why the change? Is the gauge of the hook the same?

They all will have the Mustad hook from now on. The availability of the Gamakatsu hook was very inconsistent. We found ourself waiting for hooks often. The Mustad's are always available and IMO just as good. Thanks

Nice Jigs for sure. I have never had a problem with Mustad's. Did you do that logo on the Blackdog site Mike? I gotta place a order for that Mike's Craw. That color looks like it would bust em anywhere.

Yes Jim, the Ultra Point has been used since the inception. The two biggest differences beween the Gammy hooks and the Mustad, is first and formost cost, in large bulks, the Mustad is almost 1/2 the cost and the Mustad hook is more rust resistant than the Gammies. That 60 degree Ultra Point jig hook has become a very popular hook with the hand tie guys over the past 4-5 years. BobbyD can expect the same thing with stock shortages with this hook from time to time. We've had to be very creative a couple of times searching the interent for inventory when our main supplier is out of them.

Jacked 'em up pretty good today on the black/blue jig. That thing is sick. Don't know why anyone would want to throw any other brand, these things have everything you could ever ask for...Is Bobby going to be expanding to other stores anytime soon? THanks for kickin' out a badass product Bobby D!

Mustad Ultra point hooks are money! Gama is a great hook, but I'd much rather prefer Ultra points! BobbyDs, and Waddas are all I throw! You can't go wrong with either, they are the best jigs on the market hands down!!

And the BobbyDs chatter baits are by far the best chatter around IMHO...

Enoughs, enough fellas. Between Jimbo007 & Mike the two BobbyD and TNT Wadda threads have become a daily leap frogging spam fest the past 10 days. Posts by sponsored vendors and general discussions is one thing, carrying on in the fashion you two have is unacceptable by Westernbass.COM posting policies and both threads are now going on lock down.
