AC Castaic Results are already up!
Pay attention to the top part, I think that has the total winnings, the bottom part shows it without options... I think...I'm about to fall asleep...Stern will probably get it cleaned up later.

Re: AC Castaic Results are already up!
Nice job Darren and Terry! The SOCB club boy's have been pretty impressive lately!
Thanks guys....
..this was a definite team effort. We both caught lots of fish but Terry's was the one that jumped us into 3rd. He got a fatty at about 1:30 which allowed us to cull one of our five 2.75 pounders. The two of us have been dragging lures around the lakes of Ventura and LA county for 2 seasons and its nice to finally get a good limit. We werent sure how it would hold up, especially since we were getting good fish.....We figured everyone else was too.... But the fish gods were smiling on us this time and we finally had a good finish. Good job TT!!

Geez, thanks guys!!
I'm usually congratulating you guys, it's usually not the other way around! I wasn't sure if I should write a long story about the whole deal (besides, nothing could beat Pete's brush fire stories or his Lake Mead AAA adventures!), but here goes anyways. I started thinking about this tournament about the time we were leaving Popeye's Chicken after the last event five weeks ago. I was hoping to get on the same incredible bite we were on two years ago when the lake was at capacity in June. DL and I had a 20 lb sack one day back then in a day of fun fishing, but I couldn't get on it last year because the water wasn't in the brush. Five weeks ago the water was way up and I was praying it would stay that way. So in pre fish we hit some areas with brush, although I was suprised that some areas didn't have as much cover as before, presumedly because it got uprooted during last winter's rains. Either way, the pattern materialized so I thought it might be a good tournament. On tournament day, I fished mostly in the cover using these little soft plastic stickbaits made by Gary Yamamoto ( I think I forgot the name of them!) while DL mostly fished deeper with jigs. We were fornunate enough to find lots of fish and quality fish. We just bounced around all day and fished the cover and the fish were there. About noon we had 14lbs and I told Daren that we need to cull out our 2lb10ouncer (imagine that) with something like a four pounder. Then about 1:30 the 3.82lb fish hit. We weighed in just after 2 and since I work the weigh in I was able to watch firsthand as a couple of teams weighed in more than us, but was very suprised that we got third. Mike Hart got first, man what a machine. Jim and Jay got second, I'm just happy we got those fish and the third. Thanks again guys for the compliments, the full story is now on the AC website, along with some pics soon to come.

Good going, Terry.
I hope you didn't teach that Darren fella too much about how to fish before the club challenge.
See you Thursday night.

Way to go DL And TW Terry
Good job guys...
Lots of boats starting to show up out there on the AC Castaic trail.. people are starting to figure it out, its a top notch trail. With much thanks to Michael Stern and you, DL and the rest of his Staff. With a top notch championship to qualify for, its only a matter of time before there are 50-60 boats at these events. Looks like you and DL are going to be fishing for the THREE BassCat boats in September.... See you at the rest of the Castaic events.
