The 2 Bills have taken things to the next level. The Oroville event was by far the best pro/am (non BASS or FLW) event that I have ever fished. Here is what they did great:
1. No stupid stickers or colored tape for boat check. They had a list and marked your name down. BASS and FLW stopped that 15 years ago.
2. Computer printout of weights-No worries about someone writing down the wrong weight and you got two copies-digital baby...
3. Super fast meetings and weigh ins.
4. Digital scale system
5. Great weigh in bags-no worries about cheap weigh in bags busting with holes. Those things made a huge difference and were very easy to use. Cutting edge and better than ANYTHING that I have EVER used.
6. Everyone got mic time to speak to the crowd about their day.
7. Live release boat-This sould be a requirement for EVERY pro/am level event.
It was refreshing to see what using some technology and some investment of financial resources into your business can do. Say what you will about the owner.....AC is getting results because they are putting money into running these events and it shined through.
This event was on par with fishing a FLW or BASS event. Two thumbs up for the 2 Bills for putting on a great derby. I see why you guys are getting the numbers. It was a FUN event and that is the most important thing....

Agreed... It was a GREAT time! The weigh-in and awards were really fast, smooth, and FUN!!! by far the most fun i've had at a tournament in a while! Thanks to Bill, Bill, Bret and the rest of the AC crew!!!!
Congratulations to Dee Thomas for an impressive victory, in less than ideal conditions.
Also hats off to all 105 pros that stepped up and supported AC. Hopefully Clear Lake will get just as good, or better numbers.

Definitely agree. Since this was my first Pro-Am ever I had no idea what to expect & will admit was a little intimidated. I decided at the last minute to sign up on Friday morning & left work in the bay area early to make it to the check in & pairing. I was lucky enough to draw Tommy Cardoza on day 1 & Mark Mendez for day 2, and it was an absolute blast. I learned a TON from both of them, and they were just great pros to fish with. I have to thank them for the experience and can really appreciate how these guys hunt for the right fish in tough conditions. If you're even considering doing one of these things, definitely DO IT! Blast off & weigh in were fast & efficient, and it was just a great opportunity to fish with some of the best. Can't wait for clear lake!

Thanks guys. Comments like these make the work we are doing worthwhile. I am fortunate to work with the best staff ever. Hutch, Bret Smith, Terry Greenwaldt, Dave Koehler and Craig Kennemer did (and do) a great job.
Thanks again and hope to see you all at Clear Lake.

I am with you guys, the smoothest weigh-in I've ever been through. I have had more wait time at team events. My hats off to Bill and the boys. Hope i can fish more in the future.

Couldn't agree more!!! My first Pro-am and I had a fantastic time. Everything ran very smoothly, I got to meet and speak with several well known pros including Hall of Fame Member Dee Thomas. I met both Bills (Hutcheson and Cook) and was impressed by their support crew. Based on my expierince I would recommend that anyone fish the Angler Choice Pro-Am events to learn new techniques and meet friendly unassuming people.
