Needing Fishfinders or a fishfinder

Post by Montauk »

I'm planning to fish Berryessa and some on the Sac river, does anyone have any particular ideas on a cheap fishfinder that would work well for both locations??

The boat I just bought has a thruhull transducer but its clearly cracked so I'll have to put in something new for that , but I'm looking for something relatively cheap ($200- 300 range), but effective for both types of waters.

or... do I need 2 different types because the waters are lake & river?

I'm just getting out of the fly fish business and starting w/ the whole Bass thing, so this is all pretty new stuff but having electronics beats out just using polarized glasses.

Thanks for any info someone can provide.

You only need one graph. Checkout a lowrance x-125 or x-135. You won't be disappointed.
