Big Bear's bitin' a little bit

Post by Scott E. »

Finally got some decent weather up here and found a couple areas that have some 50 ish degree water (air temp in the 60's) and some biting fish. The jig and senko bite is pretty stupid when you find em. There are wolf packs roaming the shallows (3 to 8 feet) in the afternoons and where you find a couple, you find a bunch! Those little lmb's they stocked in here over 3 years ago are solid 12 to 14 inch chunks, and I've had a few 3's and 4's in the mix. No smallies yet but when May comes it will be good for those as well.

There's gonna be a tourney up here for anyone interested the third weekend in May. It's a team format and I think it's $200 a team and 25 bucks for big fish option and I think it pays out 1/5 spots. Should be very good fishing. Just thought I'd put the word out since this fishery is back to what it once was. Good fishing to you all, Scott

Atta boy Scott. We have rivers running down the streets here, major berm melt. Pretty sure we're going to make it in May, hope to see you.
