Line for skipping

Post by milehi »

I fish a lake that is wall to wall docks and all that comes with them, platforms, chains, support bars, so I do a lot of skipping with a jig and baitcaster. I have gone completly away from fluro, to many spool ups and worse, too many break offs. I have been using TrieleneXL for the last few years and like it ok, and am going to try Izorline as prople tell me they like it. Was fishing with a friend Saturday, a non skipper, good fisherman, and he said he thought a stiffer line would be better. I'm pushing 68 , anything stiffer gets my attention, but I don't know about that, any thoughts? I use curado 100s with a 7' medium heavy.

P-line cxx and Maxima Green are pretty stiff and strong. Those lines can really take a beating too. I fish a lot of docks and skip as well. The Izorline "First String" in blue is also very reliable.

Go get'em!
