We lost a friend

Post by Colebass »

I learned today that my Friend and Tournament Director Terry Davis passed away last night at about 6:30 PM. Terry was a great guy, always laughing and looking at the bright side of life. I hope he catches the "big ones" up there!

Wow, I have to admit this is a bit of a shock. I had just tried to reach Terry about a month ago just to catch up and now I see this.

As I read this thread I caught myself thinking back to good times we shared With Terry, the Golden State Outdoors internet videos (bluegill followed by stripers in disco), all the anglers choice tournaments I fished with Terry over the years at Clear lake and Folsom. Breakfast at IHOP in Folsom, followed by the little restaurant (can't remember the name, but it was just down the street from Jimmy's tackle store) in Red Bud where we met for sign ups...man they gave you a lot of food, those were really fun schedules Folsom to clear lake to Berryessa and back again. Thank You Terry for the great memories. You are missed by many.

You left us too soon my friend. I hope there biting up in the sky.

God Bless,

Mike Tuck

Terry was a great tournament director who always had a smile on his face. He always made us feel welcome and had a contageous enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. What a great guy! Our sport now has a big void without him being a part of it. We will miss Terry a bunch. I wish wish Terry's family and friends my condolences.

Terry was a long time friend of my family. He use to talk fishing with me every day.His wife Cindy worked with my mother, and when my father was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, my mom retired and opened a day care. my dad loved kids! well terry and cindy used our daycare, so i seen him everyday! what a guy! would always take the time to talk to me!later in life i owned a pool hall next to oroville outdoors.Terry came over for lunch, and we picked up just like we seen each other the day before!! it was probably 15 years since i had seen him. he will be missed by all, a true gentleman, and a great Am"bass"ator for our loved sport. my only regret is we never got to fish together now that im an adult! my condolences to his family, KEVIN MCCLAIN

So sorry to hear this!!!

Terry was an awesome director and ran a very successful California Foothills TRAVELLING circuit for Anglers Choice. This was the last of the PRO TEAM travelling circuits in the last 10 years.

Terry will be missed very much. My sincerest condolences to his family and closest friends.

There is an old picture of Terry at this website. You have to scroll to the right and he's wearing a red jacket.

That's right, in 2005 I think his Foothills Trail was Folsom, Berryessa, Folsom, Clear Lake, Berryessa, and Oroville.

I miss those circuits.
