Best places to launch at Berryessa?

Post by DannyP »

Going to Berryessa this week. I have only been there a couple times and rememberlaunching out of Markleys. What are the best places to launch? Other ramps nearer to the north end? Thanks for the help.

When going to Berry I come from Sacramento so I go out of Markleys most of the time as it is closer, I have gone out of Capell and Paradise - Capell is good for a free launch but its about 20mins past Markleys and you pull an extra hill - so it ends up costing you almost the same in fuel and fees.

I am not famliar with launch ramps up north by Putah

I only launch out of Markley Cove. Good ramp and safe parking. Very crowded on summer weekends.
