Hey guys I'm looking into getting a gps & fish finder combo. I was wondering what you guys felt was the best buy for the money. I was looking at a lowrance lcx17m or the hummingbird matrix (I think it was a 67or 97) . or the lowrance lcm 320. Any feed back from anyone who might know or own one of these units.
Thanks

Lowrance
I have a lowrance LMS 480 and love it. My next one will be the LMS 332C.

GPS
I suggest that if you have never owned op operated a GPS unit, you might want to think about how much you really need it. It takes time and patience to get familiar with how the unit works and then you'll need to make it work for you on the water.
If you are fishing large lakes, I.E. Mead. Powell, etc. then I would say you need one. If it is a want and not a need, think twice before you spend the extra money. I only say this because I know a lot of people who have them and never use them.
B.T.W. The X17 is a sweet unit.
