Lss transducer location

Where do you guys mount your transducer for the structure scan on your boat? Just want to get an idea of how mounting location works for those who already have one installed; before I install mine. Pros and cons if possible.

If you are installing the LSS-1 for the console HDS unit then either under the jack plate, mounted directly to the bottom of the step (not on the pad), or using the bracket included off the back of the transom. If you are putting it on the trolling motor then be sure to order the bracket designed for the ducer to go on the motor.
