Wounded Warriors "Giving A little for those who gave A LOT"

Post by Bill Siemantel »

Wow,
What do you say to the men and women who sacrifice it all for our freedom? While we sleep in our beds- they fight for us, as our 8 hour day job ends- they continue to fight, when we battle the fish- they battle the enemy. On the 21st of May " Armed Forces Day" We honer the brave who made it home to a day of fishing at DVL and we pray for those and their family's that payed the ultimate price.

I was planning to show up and pay it forward but my wife and daughter both have their birthdays (21st, 22nd) planned for the 22nd. If I miss there B-days the battle I will have to face would leave any man shaking in their boots

I do want to do something for the Men and Women of the Armed Forces and I will be donating product to show my appreciation. The following is a single package that is worth close to 900.00

I am giving just a little of what I have to those who have given so much to all of us.

Thank you.

FIrst, Bill.....you are amazing.....you always give so much to so many. Your heart is very generous and the men and women that get the raffle prizes will be thrilled! You defiantely made the right decision spending time with the family. The men and women would LOVE to personally meet you, but hey....there will be another day and another time...Definately worth the wait!

Kano-O if you really want to fish the event, we have a sponsor that will rent the WHOLE fleet of rental boats to help out. SO if you want, let me know and you will be out on the water on May 21, 2011 with the rest of the anglers. Right now we have 73 anglers with boats...not counting the Lake Elsinore Bass Clubs guys...!!!

We are still looking for some food donations....

Thanks to everyone...The Lake Elsinore Bass Club started this 4 years ago with an idea and it sure has taken off into a wonderful event that so many look forward to each year...High five to the anglers from Lake Elsinore Bass Club.

Oh we have two bands for live entertainment right after the weighins...so those that are not fishing in the event can come out and participate in the festivities and the raffle :)

For those still interested in participating or wanting to donate ANYTHING....please call me

Dear Lynne,

I did not know that you are looking for food donations as well. I figured that I would have to dropped a hundred bucks for gas and food going down there.

So--- I will donate 100.00 to help the cause and for all that show up, the drinks are on me.

Take Care

Lynne
Just sent more sinkers and some other goodies to Megan for the raffle. Also I have the Lite Sticks for all of your night tournaments. We wish we could join you for this great event but we are committed to taking 125 kids fishing that day.

I came to Vegas for some much need fun , dining, some (super funny) shows and to celebrate our youngest daughter graduating from high school We will be back on Friday and I will update the list of anglers and sponsors

Please try to get your boat tagged by DVL this weekend. PLEASE make sure you triple check your boat to make sure you are absolutely dry. Brian Linehan is having an event for Anglers Choice on Saturday and NBW is having an event this Sunday. Please make sure if you fish either that you get your boat tagged

Talk with you soon

The Purple Heart is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the President to those who have been wounded or killed while serving on or after April 5, 1917 with the U.S. military. The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is located in New Windsor, New York. With its forerunner, the Badge of Military Merit, which took the form of a heart made of purple cloth, the Purple Heart is the oldest award that is still given to members of the U.S. military, the only earlier award being the obsolete Fidelity Medallion.

I asked my friend Paul one more favor; to make me a special bait that I can donate to someone that fought for my freedom and was able to make it back home to us. Lynne will present this in my honor to you Sat.

Thank you for everything.

his name will be revealed Sat. I would like this to be a surprise

OK, this is my last post
My good friend Mike Nemec called me out on the donation I put together for the Wounded Warrior Event. He put it this way " you did pretty good , but you forgot to put a reel in the package". I shot right back at him and said pony up buddy....... He did and going with this package is also a new Ardent reel that should now put the value well over 1200.00 bucks now 8)

Thanks Mike for looking after me and stepping up for a great cause.

I delivered a very generous donation from the guys at Optimum Bait Company & AA Worms, to the Lake Elsinore Bass Club. The Temecula Valley High School Junior R.O.T.C. helped with the packaging.
