What ever you do spend the $150-$200 and have the motor checked out by reputable mechanic. Before I bought my first boat about 10yrs ago I had the boat and motor checked out by the original owner of Galaxie Marine and the motor blew on my third trip out.

So do your research and find a good mechanic.

I have a 95 stratos 201 pro xl with a 225 johnson. Just had rutine maintenance done and compression checked. Brand new carpet. Minn kota 101. 4 newer batteries. 3bank and 1bank chargers. Lowrance x5pro on bow and x45 and pinpoint 7720 at dash. 11,500 obo. Email for pics.
