Bass Allstars??

Post by bass343 »

Sorry, guys for asking but I haven't been keeping up with BASS much this year. My 3 questions are?

1-What's the deal with the Allstars?
2-How did the pros selected to fish in the tournament?
3-What's the benifit of winning the thing and whatever else?

I agree with the top 8 but the last four not so much. It's more of a popularity thing and it's not fair for the last 4 who made the top AOY.

Actually if you think about it the B.A.S.S all star tourney is just like all of the other sports "all star" setups. Only difference is none of the anglers turned down a chance to play in this all star tourney unlike the sissy baseball, football, basketball who think there sh*t smells too good to participate in their all star game. Especially when the fans voted them in. Almost half of dem damn yankees get voted in each year even if they've been injured for whole the season. Because they are popular. Thats why I won't watch any ofther sports all star games because they're a bunch of overpaid whiny turds. I find it kind of funny that skeet, martens, ike (voted in all stars) are moving on to the finale and they sent home KVD and others. Must have been a bad crankbait bite right? I personally think B.A.S.S has a pretty good setup with this. I like the fact that they WANT to be there and they are humbled by the abilities that they have.

That is good news; now we can see someone else on that podium collecting the Trophy and Cash! I hope Martens get's his program together and Wins this thing. He is hot off of his win at Lake Mead (Open) and had to drive back to Lake Jordan and fish this event without any practice!

Well for me the allstar setup was fine, plus bass gave away a gear for those who pick the 4 winners and if your pick win just like when you play the ponys at the track you win again, not bad just for a daily click and pick from the bass site, as for the guys that got picked they all deserved it from years pass coming up short against KVD or points in other events, plus I know bass wanted to get the fans if the sport interested in the allstar event, and that just for the bass master guys, but if it was a true allstar it would be a true pick em type of thing college football where you put your best bass dudes over the last 25 years and have a bass battle royal for the whole thing and do the best bass guy 2 out of 3 for the whole thing and make the winning prize 2 million just watch how many guys come out then and put there hat in pot to be voted on... just a thought and my 2 cents...
