This may have been posted here recently but here is a little reminder that we need boat captains for next Saturdays event at the lower lake. Here is what is needed, per Lori Bennett: Yes we are still looking for boaters. Boat inspections and registrations start at 6 am at the Lagoon Launch Ramp. Event is from 8 am to 11:30 followed by a bbq lunch/awards ceremony. They need to turn in the form before the event if they want the shirt and/or hat that is being given to volunteers. Also, we just need to know how many boaters we have so we can make sure we haven’t invited too many kids. They can turn in the form by email to me or just email that they will be coming and they can complete the form that morning.
Registration forms are on the calendar section of www.castaiclake.com, you can email the form to Lori at lbennett@park.lacounty.gov, or fax them to her at 661-257-3759.
Hope to see some of ya'll out there, this is one really great event...

Steve.
Make sure you have 3 PDF's. More then likely a parent will be coming along. Make sure you have all your water safety things and you should be good. It is really fun to do this. If I don't have to work I will be there.

Steve,
There is a form to fill out with you boat #s and other info they need.
Check the Castaic Lake website.
There will be a care giver with each child, from what I've been told, so you do need three PFD's.

Re: CAST event
A little update here, from Lori: As of this morning we have 27 boaters and 38 kids – so we need about 10 more boaters. If you talk to anyone else or anyone on this list we are trying to call everyone today and give them these instructions. We will begin checking in boaters at 6 am. There will be a boaters meeting at 6:30 am and will begin launching after that. Children will start arriving at 8 so loading at the BISC dock will begin at that time. Lunch begins at 11:15 am.
Re: CAST event
I wish I could make this event. I have to work on all weekends right now. Dang this is such a good cause. Please post some pics if any of you go.
