I am almost positive that is a sacramento perch. I caught a few of them at clear lake about 10 years ago while fishingfor crappie in the spring. The ones that i caught had a almost purple color to them.

It's a Warmouth
They are cool little fish. If they got bigger we would be having Warmouth tournaments. They are mean little guys with a big mouth.

Warmouth no doubt about it.
Caught a few this spring in Rock Sl. none that big!
State record is less than a pound, I think around 13 oz
give or take an ounce or so.
