miller punching weights

Post by Wolfeman »

Got my shipment of Danny Miller's punching weights yesterday.
one each of the brass and one each of the green powder coated ones, in 3/4 and 1 oz.
Ran off to a small local pond to check them. Didn't get any fish (not the fault of the weights :) ) but love the way these things work.
Ordered several more of the 1.5 and 2.0. They are out of stock on the 2.0 green but they should get them soon. Can't wait to get out on the Delta and put these to work.
Great product.

Do most of you use a punching skirt with them?
Thanks,
- Wolfeman (not sponsored by Miller Punching Weights or anyone else for that matter, but I'm willing to be  )

Rick, although I do have several of the Miller punching weights, I really do not use them any more than my other punching weights..I use a skirt on just about all of my presentations..The only time I do not is when I forget to slide one on, and I am too lazy to retie putting one on..

I don’t use a skirt with the Danny Miller weights – you have to use other bobber stopper to hold the skirt against the bait plus the skirt gets in the way of the barrel swivel I use to hold the bait to the hook.

Rick if you’re out tomorrow give me a call, I will be out there too.

I got a chance to use these weights with Bobby a little while back. They are really cool. I think of it as finesse punching.

Thanks again for the trip Mary
