Update on 2011 Anglers Marine Bass-a-thon

Post by Rick G »

Just wanted to let everyone out in bassland know that we have finalized our 2011 Bass-a-thon main speaker lineup. This year is the 25th Bass-a-thon and we have what we feel is an allstar lineup. This years speakers include, Bill Dance, Skeet Reese, Mark Rose and "Big Show" Terry Scroggins. As you all know we strive to bring the best talent bassfishing has to offer and this year is no exception. We will also have the latest in bass tackle, rods, reels, accessories, boat and motor specials, great food and all the things that have made this the West's #1 bassfishing supershow and sale. The date this year in November 19-20th, 2011. Hope to see you all there. Rick Grover

Dont know what to tell you Ron. He has very few sponsers and runs an old boat and just is not interested in this sort of thing. We do have a great lineup though. Rick

Thank You Rick and your family too for putting these together. At times when all you hear is negativity in the news and world,it's nice to have something good to look forward to.You are giving guys like me, who love to fish, the opportunity to meet the top pros in the sport. My wife and kids enjoyed it too when we got to meet the great KVD, Matt Newman, and Mike McClelland. Also, Ish Monroe, Bill Siemantel, and Mike Folkestad. Awesome, Awesome work!

Looks like a great line up Rick.

Will Lowrance be putting on another seminar this year? I missed last years because of my knee replacement surgery but I'll be making it to this one.

Thanks

Just found out today that Lucky Strike Mfg is sending Rick Clunn out to work their booth and to promote his RC series cranks. WOW, one of the greatest of all time to talk crankbaits or Lake Mead or tournament strategies to is way cool, IMHO. 25th Bass-a-thon is going to be one of our best ever. I will keep everyone posted on any more updates. Rick G.

Rick, Is the day by day schedule set for the BAT yet? I convinced the wifey and kids to make a weekend out of it. We will spend a day at Disneyland (Sat.) and Sunday will be BAT for me and shopping there :D . The wifey just wants a good dinner.

Yes, there will be Lowrance training classes each day and some great specials on all the Lowrance product. Look for the sign up sheets at the counter this weekend. I will also get the seminar/workshop schedule up this week. Rick

Just wondering what this is? Is it a "sale" with guys representing variouse manufactures or is this more of a trade show type of thing with seminars and things like that?

I am going to be stuck in Orange County in a Hotel room that weekend & thinking I might want to check it out.

To me, its kind of like a West Coast mini-ICast show. Has a ton of new innovative stuff, bunch of cool small manufacturers show up, great speakers, etc.

I've always gone and never regretted it.

Hasetak, being that you are stuck in OC that weekend, you HAVE to check it out. It's way better than ICAST because you can actually buy the cool, new stuff.

Yes, Ralph we have the seminar schedule and I will try and get it online here this week. Have been busy moving our Santee store to its new location in Lakeside, and hoping to be up and running down there by the end of the week. Look for the 25th Anniv. Bass-s-thon insert coming out soon in the Western Outdoor News. Rick G.

Picked up the new WON with the Bassathon insert. Not much info on who is going to be there, which will make it more challenging as to what to get...more agony and fun!  can't wait!

If you're anywhere in the area, you owe it to yourself to check it out both days if possible. No two days are the same.

Here are links to slideshows of photos from a couple of the previous events I've shot:

2009
2007
2006

Absolute can't miss if possible as it is the best show in town. Unbelievable access to some of the greatest anglers in the world, who are more than willing to shake hands and discuss whatever topics are on your mind.

Along with the scheduled speakers, there are a great many who are either working the booths or just show up and are also easy to engage.

Can't make it down this year myself, unfortunately.
