Thank You for the Thoughts,Prayers and Support

I would like to start this off by saying Thank You to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. You don't realize how much your commnets,phone calls and text meant to myself and my family. They really help keep you strong and give you strength during these difficult times when you are at an all time low. I have never really considered myself to be a very emotional man; but this last week as I would read through the post while laying in the hospital bed it brought myself and my wife to tears as we would read through them. I had a lot of time to think laying in bed and a million things went through my mind. First off we were very lucky to be alive, and secondly we are all surrounded by a really great network of fisherman/friends that pull together when their is a need to. Lastly Im going to personally try to focus more of my efforts into being a better husband and Father to my kids. I think sometimes I let my fishing consume me and it was a major focus in my life. I will still fish the same circuits and will still be competitive,just with a little different attitude towards life itself and a much greater emphasis on family. Again thank you all of my fellow fisherman for all of your support. We have a pretty good ways to go in regards to recovery, but I believe we are off to a pretty good start. Mike, it was great to see you guys today. Glad to see everyone ha such a positive outlook on things. You are correct on one thing. The fishing industry is one of the largest sports in the world. We compete at levels as high as most any professional sport! But when it comes to a brother in need of prayers or a helping hand, the millions of anglers come together as one small family! Always willing to take a moment to offer prayers or even a helping hand. I feel blessed to be involved in this industry and call so many people our friends!

Mike, I'm really glad you were able to post this update! God speed your recoveries, and glad you have the newfound focus on the important things in life. Life is fleeting, and we can only make the best of it while we have the opportunity to do so.
