Obama lite

Post by Rod Martin »

Starting to look like it will be Obama or Obama lite in 2012.
I'm sorry Mitt reminds me of a snakeoil salesman . I have a hard time warming up to him. I think the only big differnce between the 2, Mitt looks at polls and reacts to them sometimes :(
And if he doesnt work out we may end up with a 90 year old Hillary in 2016 :(

Good thing is by then I will be drooling apple sause out the side of my mouth and remembering the good old days

Kind of like Greggg now

Think about how the old crooks in both parties control us. They hold primaries in early states where a group of people in back rooms pick the winners. If we all vote for Cain in the free states we can stick it up their butts like we did in 2010.

I think Mitt is going to get it, and win

Alot of people I know are saying Mitt is better than Obama for two terms. And that will be the reason a lot of people do NOT do 3rd party or write in this time. They are voting to keep Obama out, so many are thinking Mitt can pull Moderates and are not willing to chance a better person that might not

Beat Mitt with a Cain
Then turn around and beat Obama with a Cain

Just don’t understand why you keep listening to the talking head and that is to include Fox News. The GOP is on a full court press to make sure you pick their man that is control by them. Last election we had McCain the next man in line who earned the right to run by following the party line. Now you have Romney who’s turn is it to run because he follow the party line. The GOP Party line is not always being Conservative!

Listen to what Cain is saying and how he is saying it – he is saying it the only what he knows how too – from the hart and truthful. No I don’t agree with him 100% of the time but he is doing what he is doing not for the Republican or the Party Line – he is doing for our County!!!

For once in your life go with your gut feeling! As it stand now – we can run a dog catcher and beat Obama.

Businessman Herman Cain saw Mitt Romney's 23 percent support rating in the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll and raised him 4 points to take the lead in the latest survey of Republican White House hopefuls
Than is the People talking not the GOP!

“Dr. Arthur Laffer, has given Herman Cain's signature "9-9-9" economic plan a critical boost, even as it has come under heavy fire from his GOP presidential competitors.

The famed economist told HUMAN EVENTS that the proposal was pro-growth and would create the proper conditions for America's economy to expand and thrive again.

"Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan would be a vast improvement over the current tax system and a boon to the U.S. economy," Laffer told HUMAN EVENTS in a statement. "The goal of supply-side tax reform is always a broadening of the tax base and lowering of marginal tax rates."

Added Laffer: "Mr. Cain’s plan is simple, transparent, neutral with respect to capital and labor, and savings and consumption, and also greatly decreases the hidden costs of tax compliance. There is no doubt that economic growth would surge upon implementation of 9-9-9."

Laffer also said that "such a system provides the least avenues to avoid paying taxes, yet also maintains the strongest incentives for work effort, production, and investment."
"Dr. Arthur Laffer is American economist who first gained prominence during the Reagan administration as a member of Reagan's Economic Policy Advisory Board (1981–1989). Laffer is best known for the Laffer curve, an illustration of the theory that there exists some tax rate between 0% and 100% that will result in maximum tax revenue for governments."

Marty, I did not say I was voting for Mitt. But that is what I thought might happen.

MITT Would be the last person I would vote for in the primary!

But I will not put Obama back in for another four years by writing in or voting for a 3rd party. If Mitt get the Rep. nomanation, I will vote R. in the general election

Christy sided with mitt. I would love to see some of the others drop out now and throw their weight behind Cain, or any of the others that can start showing in the polls

First time I have seen this many Republicans in a primary race where any of them could beat the sitting president. If I was to pick a couple from that field to not only take out the current administration but would also get this ship turned around in the right direction, it would be Newt Gingrich for president and Herman Cain as his running mate. Newt brings a wealth of knowledge about history, experience and understanding of how things work none of the other candidates can match. With the situation in this country and around the world dire and getting worse we need a team that can hit the ground running and Newt can do that. Herman Cain could benefit greatly "apprenticing" and working with Newt, what better way to get experience in Washington than under a mentor like Gingrich. You could make arguments for any of them, its a good field of quality people.

First – I will vote for whoever wins the Republican Nomination and that includes Romney! As for a 3rd Party where does that come from but hoping from the Democrat side to split the growing dislike for Obama or the News talking head to make news. As for Newt Gingrich and a Herman Cain tickle will never happen – first you have to have Newt win and he will never pick Herman, Herman is not part of the inter-circle of the GOP. Don’t get me wrong Newt is one smart man but he has too much in his past history. Obama will just jump all over him. There is a chance if Herman win he could pick Newt but we have to wait and see.

My dream team could still happen but is not likely – Cain/Palin

http://www.freedomsjournal.net/2011/10/ ... ar-me-now/

As I launch a two-week book tour around the USA promoting “This is Herman Cain! My Journey to the White House,” it’s a perfect time to reflect upon my campaign for president, and how we got to Entering the race to make the world a better place for my grandchildren – I made a commitment to do what I could to bring this country back to what Ronald Reagan so famously referred to as the “shining city on a hill.”

With 14 million Americans out of work, an unemployment rate of over 9 percent, a weakened military and a weakened dollar – we’re facing the worst economic times since the Great Depression.

My message for Barack Obama is this: Your Hope and Change just ain’t working!

We need leadership in the White House – not a community organizer. And as a successful business leader and CEO, my executive experience in turning around struggling companies is just what this country needs.

Growing up in the segregated South with little money, my family was rich in faith, love and a belief in the American dream. I learned from my parents, Lenora and Luther Cain, Jr., that empowerment – not entitlement – was the key to achieving success in life. You have to work hard, and given the right national policies for less government and lower taxes, the sky is the limit.

It’s true that I’m not a politician. Some say that means I can’t understand the government. Washington is full of politicians – how’s that working out for us?

And even though the Cain Train is picking up steam – finishing first in this week’s Zogby poll with 28 percent, compared to Rick Perry’s 18 percent and Mitt Romney’s 17 percent, many in the mainstream media still haven’t given me a shot.

Fortunately, more people have started to take note. Last week’s opinion piece by Daniel Henninger in the Wall Street Journal, “Taking Cain Seriously,” was a refreshing sign that my message is resonating with Americans.

Though after a resounding victory in the Florida Straw Poll where my 37 percent was more than double the combined 29 percent for my friends Mitt Romney and Rick Perry, others in the media are still asking me if I’d support them if they get the nomination.

Looking at the Florida results, shouldn’t the question really be if I think Gov. Romney and Gov. Perry will support me when I win the nomination?

Another indication of just how strong, yet underreported, Cain grassroots supporters are is the Gallup Positive Intensity Index. Since I entered the race, I’ve won this poll 16 out of 18 weeks – including the latest one with 26 percent, compared to Rick Perry’s 22 percent. We just don’t hear much about it in the press.

Admittedly, a major challenge has been name recognition – building over the year from 21 percent in April to 51 percent now. But then again, I haven’t been running for president for five years, nor have I been governing a large state. We’ve had to start from scratch.

But we’re making progress – and thanks to determined staff and volunteers, plus great friends, we’re picking up thousands of new supporters each day.

And although my campaign doesn’t have the resources of some others, the Florida results show that it’s about the message – not the money. It will be Americans who elect the next president, not the media.

As much as the establishment has tried to make this a two-man race, it has become abundantly clear that is just not the case.

My vision for economic recovery – the 9-9-9 Plan – gains a stronger following nationwide every day.

While the other GOP candidates tinker around the edges for tax reform, my view is that we need to throw the whole broken system out. We need a fresh start to expand the tax base and stop the Obama-fueled class warfare we’re seeing today.

It’s also time for a strong leader – one who knows the difference between our friends and our enemies – and who stops giving money to our enemies. We need a leader who doesn’t take his cues from the UN – but rather leads with America’s interests at heart.

Even as some continue to question my chances to win the GOP nomination – despite my surge – I’d say that the long shot is looking more like a much shorter shot.

Lastly, thanks to everyone who has jumped aboard the Cain Train. Together we will take this country back to common sense solutions!
