Bass West Magazine
Yesterday I received my Bass West Magazine. When I sat down to start to read it I noticed it said July/August. I remember I read a post on this fourm a year ago regarding this magazine never showing up on time. With that said has anyone else had this problem? I think I am not going to renew my subscription if this is a constant issue because if it is that's sad and pathetic. Great Magazie but poor shipping.

I got mine today too. I've just grown used to getting them out of season.
What they should do is leapfrog over the Sept/Oct issue (scrap it), and work on publishing the one after that -- or even jump ahead two issues. That way, they'll catch up with the season, and they could extend everyone's subscription by one or two issues to make up for the scrapped one(s). Advertisers may not like it, but it's an idea, and they have to get on track somehow.

Re: Bass West Magazine
In an effort to save space on this web site , maybe that question should be written as "has anyone ever recieved their magazine ON TIME?"
Re: Bass West Magazine
I'd be happy just to get my money back.... 3 years subscription 3 years of aggravation ....
Re: Bass West Magazine
Me too! But I like the mag. But not renewing it. To get a mag 2-3 months late AND have it delivered looking like it has been through hell ( front page ripped, pages bent up like someone already went through it) is bad service. Hey BassWest mag, take some notes from BAM , start delivering it in a plastic wrap!

Re: Bass West Magazine
Great magazine, but being over a month late is unacceptable. Bassmaster and Bass Times would never be that late. I understand that most likely that its a Printer issue but the mag should have some leverage with them. Who knows

Re: Bass West Magazine
NBW if it is a printing issue contact me with paper stock demands , example 80 pound cover and 60 # pages and your amount needed. I"ll quote you a price and print it myself on a 7 million dollar goss press. With your files your mag will be finished in 3 days in so cal (la) and if you like we can deliver also. Quality 2nd to none! Troy (714) 864 8647 blankenshipbassfishing@gmail.com 29 year heatset pressman!
Re: Bass West Magazine
The problems at the magazine do not involve anything to do with a printer. Getting the printer paid, that's another matter entirely.

Re: Bass West Magazine
BW mag and its owner is NOT giving their advertisers the service they expect with a timely publication. No doubt the editors and sales team are doing a good job, but when the owner has to rob from Peter to pay Paul to get the magazine published and mailed is certainly not a sound business approach.

Re: Bass West Magazine
They can save money if they went to lighter stock. That's where 90% of printing cost are. Use 40# paper BW and save.
Re: Bass West Magazine
they have been like this for years. after the new owners took over they said getting the issues out to us in a timley matter was their TOP PRIORITY, but nothing has changed. always about 2 months behind.. sonia in cutstomer service is cool and cant do anything about whats going on about the late delivery. good magazine but poor timing of the issues
Re: Bass West Magazine
Brian you mean quality advertisers like Tru Tungsten - which is gone but still has the back cover and ads in the magazine. To the OPs point I think there was a short time period when Stony was over there that i had one issue come out in its proper season - but other then that its great to read about site fishing in November brrrr its a damn shame too the articles on Dobyns and Martens were great but the fishing content isnt really going to help me catch more fish right now
