USAC Castaic this Saturday 1/07/12

Post by Brian Linehan »

Hey guys-

Just a reminder that the first tournament of the year for the Southern California Anglers Choice Region is this Saturday at Lake Castaic. This region is the only true traveling region in existence in Southern California and should be a real challenge. The schedule is below:

1/7/2012 Castaic
2/4/2012 Pyramid
3/4/2012 Cachuma
4/14/2012 Piru
5/6/2012 Pyramid
6/2/2012 Isabella

I'll be at the West Ramp starting sign ups as soon as they open the gates for us. I'd imagine that they will open the gates around 5am. Remember to make sure that your boats are all dry and ready for the Quagga inspections.

As most of you know, my tournament trailer was stolen in November and my new trailer will arrive in the next week. I'll be running the first derby from my 10x10 and will start the usual give aways and swag starting next month at Pyramid.

If anyone has questions, please feel free to call or email.

just spoke with Brian on the phone
castaic lake called him and said "only one quagga crew will be working and that is off the main ramp only" he was told the west ramp is closed tomarrow

the tournament will now go out of the main ramp[/ and not the side gate so please get there early

Hey all you bass bro's, if it's in the cards go fish and support Brian no matter what circuit he
runs. You won't have anymore fun than fish'n Brians events.
Good luck on all your draws brother Brian.

Did the tournament get launched? Castiac webcam has been showing white caps since sunrise. Winds up to 42 mph recorded so far today. I'm sure it's shut down to launching for the general public, so wondering if they let the tournament go or not.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death.
It's more serious than that!

Ended up having a Turkey Shoot over at Piru (about 10 boats or so). Brendon Widick won with a 4.11. Windyrnshit there, too.
