Super glued my fingers together tying steelhead jigs.

Post by Shad*Wizard »

...Didn't panic and try to pull them apart...Then read the back of the glue bottle and it said get

some nail polish remover with acetone in it...Did that and along with warm soapy water, in about ten minutes

of working it with a spoon edge, they separated...Bottle wouldn't put out glue and I over squeezed it causing

glue to run down side of bottle without realizing it...Good feeling watching the last of the glue separate

between the fingers...Heard of people touching their eyes and glueing the lids together...Now that might

be a case for the ER...I'll be alot more careful from now on...

I have yet had a reason to try it, but I have heard that a few drops of cooking oil gently worked between the fingers will also separate them..Truthfully if this works, it would seem to be better than using acetone in any concentration..
