BBT San Antonio results Mar 3rd

What a great day of fishing at San Antonio. Solid bags of small mouths and large mouth were weighed in Saturday afternoon at the second of BBT's Coastal events. A very chilly 27 degrees at blast off, which started at 06:29a.m. Safe light is creeping up earlier and earlier.

Jigs and weightless stick baits were the winners of the day. Information on colors was harder to come by. Although, watermelon red flake seemed to come up a lot. Fish are moving up. Smallies are on beds and LM are in schools moving up to their staging areas. A full moon and warmer weather is all they need.

We had 27 teams, which included one small boat.

We weighed in 56 small mouths and 55 large mouths. 16 teams weighed in a limit and there were 16 limits over 10 pounds. We had two flights, first in at 3;00, the second flight came in at 3:15, we had a drive by weigh-in which was completed by 3:35.

The fishing was pretty good so I stayed the night at Lake San Antonio and fished a little myself on Sunday.

Sorry about the delay in results. Having some technical issues; but, I will get them ironed out this morning.

Here's the top 5 money winners:
1st Place: Lee & Jared Johnson Big fish 4.56, and a winning weight of 14.34, which netted them $1505.00 in cash.

2nd Place Robert Duncan & Clark Poulson, Big Fish 3.65, total weight 13.84 and they pocketed $720.00.

3rd Place was Jason Ballew & Ken Allerton, Big Fish was 3.76, and a total weight of 13.45, which earned them $560.00.

4th Place went to Matt Massina & Eddie Davidson with a 3.81 Big Fish and a total weight of 13.03 that made for a $510.00 payday.

Splitting 5th place with a total weight of 12.48 each was Mark Selbach/ Ron Nagel and Candy & Steve Merlo, which resulted in a $175.00 split.

Also Daniel Tracy and Daniel Tracy Jr. took home $50.00 bucks for the 4th biggest fish which was a very nice 3.68 pounder.
