Anyone ever stay in the Cabins at Berryesa?
Anyone ever stay in the Cabins at Berryesa?
I was thinking about taking the family to berry and staying at the cabins. Anyone ever stay in these? How was it?
Re: Anyone ever stay in the Cabins at Berryesa?
My wife and I stayed at the cabins at, the now shut down, Spanish Flats Resort and had a great time. The cabins were comfortable and right on the lake. We have never stayed at the cabins at Pleasure Cove Resort but they look like the same from the outside.

The one I stayed in was quite small a little tight. Also, they did not provide sheets blankets or pillow cases so be sure to check before you move in. It was a bummer not knowing they were not provided.

Thanks thats what I was looking for. Would be bad news if we got there and there were no blankets. We're thinking about the tree house model. Do these come with BBQ's or should I bring mine?CBS wrote:The one I stayed in was quite small a little tight. Im also trying to get my 2 1/2 year old on some bluegill or something. Any advice? Not use to fishing for them. Thanks guys

I use live crickets for bluegills. You can get them from Petco. I rig them on their back on a tiny hook, 2 lb test, really really light rod, no weight. Cast it as far as you can in some shade close to the bank and watch it flutter down very slowly, then the line moves side way. Constant action and lots of fun for the kids.

I know that Obi rented one for one of our previous Nutcase events, held at Pleasure Cove, and several of the gang stayed there - it was one of the larger cabins.
This past January while up there for the Winter Nutcase, Mona and I went for a walk and peeked into the windows of one - they are nice, clean and functional. They have quite a few, ranging from small to grande, with a few up on the bluff overlooking the lake.

Re: Anyone ever stay in the Cabins at Berryesa?
Thanks guys. What a nice few days we had! The cabin was a little small but great for us. The deck was the best part, very nice to be able to relax and over look the lake. I didnt get as much time on the water as I would of liked because of the family time. But when I was on the water the bite was just awesome. The first day I split up my time on the water spending a total of about six hours on the water. I located many fish and was ready to take my little girl out to get her first fish. That first day I boated 50+ fish ranging from 1-4 1/2 pounds. 75% were spots biggest being a 4 1/2 pound spot. If anyone is thinking about a get a way with or without the family this is the place! We'll be back for sure!
Heres Kayleigh's first fish ever caught, pretty awesome stuff.
