Has the DVL pea soup gotten any better?

Post by toddmc »

I was out last Saturday only to find the worst algae bloom I have ever seen. It was everywhere. Unfishable in a lot of places. Has anybody been out in the last few days and have a report? I'm supposed to fish a derby on Saturday.

Worse each day I hear and if your thinking of the WON BASS Team region event this weekend it has been cancelled. Rick G.

It just points up there are no "pat" answers when it comes to stored water, in reservoirs or terminal basins. And you just can't call a pool guy to fix things. On a personal note, seeing the latest DVL soup kind of reminded me of "home."

Todd, do yourself a favor and skip DVL for awhile. You can't even fish properly right now.

That sucks. Let's hope they get it figured out before the night tournaments. I bought an annual pass on Saturday before I realized the lake was in the condition it is in. :x I'm a teacher and I like to spend a couple days a week on DVL in the summer. Time to beg for an improbable refund.

I shocked out there the last 2 nights and as long as the wind blows its predominate direction, there are areas where it is not so bad. I would shoot for an afternoon trip though the wind will stack the algae up on the launch ramp more at that time.
