AC-WRL Clear Lake Back to Back weekend

This weekend offers an opportunity for those Anglers Choice – WRL teams who might be sitting on the cusp of TOC qualification to ensure that they get an opportunity to fish for a boat this coming October.

The AC-WRL rules state as follows:
26) TOC: The TOC will be a separate event, to be held at the end of the season. AC/WRL anglers are eligible to win a grand prize given away to the overall winner of the event. All other AC/WRL money will be kept separate. 25% of the total number of registered teams fishing in each region throughout the entire season will be invited to the TOC. AC/WRL reserves the right to invite more teams based upon participation levels during the season. Qualifying will be based on the best 4 out of 6 events fished in one region with the same partner with 2 throw outs. Teams fishing more than 4 events will keep the 5 show up points on throw out events. Any team fishing 7 events in the AC/WRL tournaments with the same partner will automatically qualify for the TOC.

This weekend, the WRL has back to back events on Clear Lake. The first event will be the Delta-Wine trail’s fourth event of the season, held on Saturday, June 30th out of Redbud Park. Craig Timm our Clear lake Nights director will be conducting this event. You can contact Craig at (707) 295-6571 for event specifics.

On Sunday, July 1st, The WRL Northern trail will be holding the final event of its season out of the Konocti Vista Casino on the northern end of the lake. Jason Bubier is the tournament director for this event and can be reached at (530) 589-2601.

Additionally, since these two events fall under two different trails, it will also allow you to garner points to be used towards the Travellers trail Angler of the Year.
