What rod did you use previously and what did you not like about it?

It was just a BPS Carbon Lite. Broke into about 4 inches from the handle

Powell 733 max or the 722 Endurance. Both are great fluke rods.

You should really give Denali Rods a look. Depending on what your preference on a fluke rod is, and your price point, one of these might be a good fit for you.

Rosewood Series
R823SB - 6' 10" Med Hvy Mod Fast (Spinnerbait)
R843WJ - 7' Med Hvy Fast (Worm & Jig)

Jadewood Series

Dobyns Rods are the nicest bass rods on the market. A savvy series 733 would be an awesome fluke rod. This rod is very versatile and can be used for a lot of other techniques. A 734 would also be an excellent choice. I like a rod with a little heavier action. It's all about whatever you prefer. But the 734 is the best all around rod I have ever used, you can do almost anything with this rod. You will not be disappointed.
